Wood & Concrete

Quick update on construction progress!

The new concrete floor has been poured and framing has started on the south side of the brewery. In the photo at the top of this post you can see things starting to take shape: towards the back there are two new restrooms, an office, and storage space for grain and tools.

The real action will be found in the foreground of the image: this is the brewing area as seen from where the cold room will eventually land. You might also note the partition wall on the right which is where patrons can view the brewing area and see the equipment up close.

Coming up next time: cold room construction and framing in the taproom area.

We passed our Conditional Use Permit (CUP) Hearing!

Our CUP Hearing was held on November 3rd and we were able to pass muster! Thanks are in order:

  • Sierra Madre Planning Office: Thank you for your time time and effort in helping with the CUP application and presentation.
  • Sierra Madre Planning Commission: Thank you for your thoughtful consideration and deliberation in granting our CUP.
  • RT Rogers Brewing Company Supporters: And a big thank-you to all the amazing individuals that came to the hearing and supported us with kind words and encouragement.

What this means is that we can finally get down to the business of building a craft brewery at this location. We’re eager to get started on that and will be posting construction updates here at the blog and also at our construction page.
